How many times have you seen 4 live?

I haven’t. Eventually I wish to see one of his symphonies played. Can’t see the actual ARTIST live. Unless someone cast Raise Dead. That’d be kind of neat. Mozart’d be a total metal head, you know it.

What is your favorite song by 7?

What’ve you Done Now? Off of ‘The Heart of Everything’. A remarkably /powerful/ duet.

Is there any song by 3 that makes you sad?

Speechless or Dancer in the Dark.

What is your favorite song by 9?

Suite Sister Mary, off of the spectacular Operation: Mindcrime.

When did you first get into 2?

When my mom first met and started bringing home the man who’d be the only positive male figure in my life. It was 1986 and he was a huge Priest fan. Introduced me to the glories of Judas Priest, 80’s Metal and Headbanger’s Ball. I’ve never been the same since.

How did you get into 3?

Probably how any Gaga fan did. Heard her damn songs on the radio, and found myself not only singing them, but /liking/ them. I didn’t admit to it until Bad Romance. And then I saw her live.

What is your favorite song by 4?

Mozart’s Reqiuem Mass, particularly the Dies Irae movement (if you don’t know what that is; it’s the music that plays during Nightcrawler’s attack on the President in X2).

How many times have you seen 9 live?

Zero. :|

What is a good memory concerning 10?

Just discovering them. The band is AMAZING. Seriously, if you are a metal fan CHECK THESE GUYS OUT. They’re FANTASTIC. OMG. It is Metal that will MAKE YOU CRY.

Is there a song by 8 that makes you sad?

White Lightning, again. I was a huge Def Leppard fan in my youth and when Steve Clark died, it was like to me what Lennon or Hendrix was to the world. I was crushed. The time has done little to smooth the emotional connection.

What is your favorite song of 6?

Only Women Bleed. If you want a powerful song. Listen to this. A close second would either be ‘Wind Up toy’ (It is not as dirty as it sounds) or ‘Might As Well Be on Mars’

The day the music died.

20 years ago, to this exact day. It was a horrible day for music.

Naturally, I would be talking about Queen’s Freddie Mercury passing. After all, who else could I be talking about? Freddie Mercury was a great man, and Queen a great influence on music. I was14 years old. Old enough to know what death was, old enough to know what AIDS was, and old enough to mourn one of my favorite musicians.

Also, on this day, another musician passed.

Eric Carr, the second drummer for the rock band KISS, also passed away on this day. Due to an insanely rare form of cancer: Heart cancer. He was a very bright, bubbly fellow, and eager to please the fans. I recall seeing the last video he was ever in, ‘God Gave Rock’n Roll to you’ which was on the Bill and Ted’s Bogus Journey soundtrack, and how they went to great lengths to not show him. What you were able to see was a very gaunt man, but still in the fight. What’s sad was, when the song was actually recorded, it wasn’t him there, but his soon-replacement.

Mr. Mercury would’ve been 65, Mr. Carr 61. Keep on rockin’ guys.

You know, I feel sorry for Jean. She’s got the worst rap /ever/. That whole ‘Jean dies and comes back all the time’? BULLSHIT. I think Mags has had more Resurrection than Jean has.

NOt counting the bazillion or so ‘deaths’ she had during that miniseries; she’s really only a couple of times. I think, to be honest, she’s actually only died ONCE.

She technically didn’t die during the re-entry that prompted the change to Phoenix. It wasn’t HER that died when ‘she’ committed Suicide on the moon. She is not Madelyne Pryor, so that doesn’t count either. Removing clones, shape shifters, fake outs, etc.

Jean only died at the hands of Magneto (Xorneto? That entire mess confuses me), during Grant Morrison’s run.

I’m about to go make myself a most awesome breakfast: Potato hash sprinkled with cheddar cheese with fried eggs.

And because I can’t resist being “Stereotypically American” and doing something that causes people to go “This is why America is Fat”, I’m cooking the hash (and then after the eggs since it’s the same pan) in bacon grease.

Oh yeah.

And then I’m going to make a potato salad. With Real mayonnaise. And not that Low-fat garbage either.

Darn it… I need to be able to reconcile myself with finding a Good PB and not groaning and abandoning them when I find out they’re supporters of PETA.

Note: I am not against Animal Welfare movements. However, I can’t abide by PETA, and just hearing the name disgusts me like no tomorrow. My apologies to anyone who’s actually PETA supporters.
